Zhirkov set for Blues bow

New Chelsea signing Yuri Zhirkov will finally make his debut for the Blues on Friday night, after receiving his long-awaited work permit. The Russian joined Carlo Ancelotti’s side earlier this month from CSKA Moscow, but has yet to feature during the club's pre-season tour of the United States as he awaited international clearance. Speaking ahead of the clash with AC Milan, Ancelotti confirmed that Chelsea supporters will catch their first glimpse of their £18 million new-boy - dubbed the 'Russian Ronaldinho' - at the 72,000 sell-out in Baltimore. "Zhirkov is working very well now," he said. "He can play against Milan for the first time for Chelsea. I will give him this opportunity to play with us. For me, he's a new player and a very good player. We can use his quality for our team. He will play.” Ancelotti also revealed that the tie will be an emotional one for him, with his new side lining up against former employers Milan, who the Italian steered to two European Cup victories in his eight year stint at the San Siro. "I knew this game was coming and I'm excited by it," he said. "For sure, it's not a normal game for me. Playing against Milan, where I was coaching for eight years, is a different thing for me. "But I want to stay with my mind on my team because it's an important moment now. We have to improve and I want to know how this team can play." CHELSEA FANS!
