Singapore were handed a relatively easier group at the SEA Games after avoiding Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines and defending champions Thailand, all of whom can consider themselves in a Group of Death.
Day 10 of the SEA Games football tournament saw Singapore pick up a much-needed 3-1 victory against Cambodia, while already-eliminated Malaysia claimed a consolation victory with a 2-0 result against Brunei.
Day 8 of the SEA Games football tournament saw Thailand and Indonesia chalking up big score lines against Brunei and Cambodia respectively. 
Day 6 of the SEA Games football tournament saw Cambodia dispatching Philippines 3-1, while Timor Leste edged Brunei 2-1 for their maiden win.
After identical opening defeats, it was Laos who got the better of Brunei on Sunday evening by a 2-1 scoreline to clinch their first three points in Group B.

Pre-tournament favourites Vietnam and Thailand picked up identical 6-0 wins against minnows Brunei and Laos respectively on Friday to kick things off in Group B.
