  • Goalkeeper

Although Badrulzaman Abdul Halim was unable to save Andik Vermansah’s effort in the dying minutes of the match, he was constantly at his best to ensure his team leave the Shah Alam Stadium with a point.

  • Defenders

Damion Stewart was indirectly at fault for Sime Darby’s early two-goal blitz, but he redeemed himself by getting Pahang’s first goal to kick-start their comeback victory.

Besides scoring a free-kick to draw things level with Felda United, LionsXII midfielder-turned-defender Zulfahmi Arifin put in a good shift in defence and often covered for team-mate Madhu Mohana, who was at sixes and sevens throughout the match.

A week after signalling his intent to play for Malaysia, Vincent Bikana showed why the Harimau Malaya could use his service by easily nullifying the ATM strikers.

  • Midfielders

Wan Zack Haikal continued his recent fine form as he caused havoc on Perak's defence at the Sultan Mohammad IV Stadium and capped off the night with a goal.

Dickson Nwakaeme and Matias Conti played well, but Pahang had Hafiz Kamal to thank for their 4-2 comeback win against Sime Darby. The midfielder inspired the Elephants to the victory with two brilliantly delivered set-pieces that restored parity at 2-2.

Indra Putra Mahayuddin rolled back the years on Sunday as the 33-year-old made light of the LionsXII defence on a few occasions. He netted Felda United’s only goal at the Jalan Besar Stadium with a delightful chip over goalkeeper Izwan Mahbud.

With minutes remaining in the match against PDRM and a third league defeat in a row staring at his team, Andik Vermansah became Selangor’s saviour by hitting a free-kick from just outside the box that eluded the PDRM goalkeeper.

  • Forwards

Issey Nakajima-Farran marked his return from a groin injury with a hat-trick as Terengganu crushed ATM 5-1. It took him just 24 minutes to achieve that – the third fastest hat-trick of the season – after coming on for Shahrin Sapien in the 52nd minute.

Another player to play a major role in the demolition of ATM was Norshahrul Idlan Talaha, who gave the Gladiators' defence all sorts of problems with his clever runs and change of pace.

On Saturday, Amri Yahyah channelled his inner Jorge Pereyra Diaz at the Sarawak Stadium, where the Argentine helped JDT clinch their Super League title last season, as he breached the Crocs’ stubborn defence with a solo effort just after the hour-mark.
