Albirex skipper Inaba seals move back to Japan

Albirex Niigata skipper Shuto Inaba has completed a move to J-League 3 side Kataller Toyama, the White Swans announced on Tuesday.

“In Singapore, I spent two wonderful years with great support,” said the combative midfielder in a statement on Albirex's website.  “In Toyama, I will express my own way, and make an effort diligently. Thank you very much.”

Inaba spent two seasons with the White Swans, winning the domestic quadruple on both occasions. He was especially impressive in the 2017 season, where he made 24 appearances in the league and scored two goals.

The departure of Inaba will leave Albirex with a void to fill in the middle of the park, and they will also have to replace S.League player of the year Kento Nagasaki, who will be jetting off to Thailand to sign a contract with a club there in the coming weeks.

FourFourTwo also understands that S.League top scorer Tsubasa Sano will depart for a J2 League club.

However, Albirex have announced that goalkeeper Yosuke Nozawa and forward Hiroyoshi Kamata have penned new deals with the club.
