The Southeast Asian Games is here once again, and as usual the football kicks off before the opening ceremony has even begun. 11 teams (or possibly 10 with Indonesia's participation still up in the air) will contest the group stages in Singapore, and the Young Lions are out to get the gold.

Aide Iskandar's lads have been in centralised training for the past month or so, and they are all eager to make an impression come their first game against the Philippines on June 1. The team has been whittled down to only 20 individuals, with nine unlucky players missing the cut. Courts Young Lions hotshot Iqbal Hussain and exciting LionsXII winger Christopher van Huizen might have missed out, but there's plenty of talent still in the Singapore U23 team that Aide is bringing to the games.

Morale is high after three straight wins in their last three warm-up games. Irfan Fandi, restored to his favoured striker role, has been in great form and former LionsXII midfielder Shahfiq Ghani has been weighing in with plenty of goals too. How will they fare against group opponents Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia and the Philippines? Only time will tell, so buckle up your seatbelts and prepare for the ride.

Without further ado, here's our the team that will be flying the Republic's colours this June.
