FFT’s 2017 S.League Preview: Meet the new foreigners

Clay Silvas (Warriors FC)

The 19-year-old American last turned out for US side Sacramento Republic's under-18 side and scored 11 times in 15 games, which signifies his strongest suit - scoring goals.

Silvas has also got that burst of acceleration that makes strikers fearful, and while he has a slight frame, he is more than capable of holding defenders off. That, coupled with an ability to wriggle out of tight space and the ease of comfort in which he dribbles with both feet, may stand him in good stead.

Still, Silvas is only a teen, and Warriors FC is his first professional club. Whether he can make the step up remains to be seen, but he definitely has the tools to do so.
