FFT’s Five Finds: Fareez does it again

Just another exciting few days in Southeast Asia as FourFourTwo selects its FiveFinds for this fine Monday in the region.

Fareez Farhan the one bright light for the Young Lions

“Unfortunately, experience counts on the big stage. This campaign could be a brutal experience for a fledgling squad of players.”

That was the prediction made by FourFourTwo's in our season preview for the Young Lions.

The forecast is becoming a nightmarish reality as the team stumbles from defeat to defeat.

The latest was a 4-1 thrashing – the Young Lions’ seventh successive loss – at the hands of champions Brunei DPMM.

The only reason for the Lions to smile is the excellent form of Fareez Farhan who grabbed the only goal in Brunei.

It is his fifth of the season and the 21 year-old has been the only Young Lions member to etched his name onto the scoreboard so far.

If the already experienced youngster can keep getting the goals, the season may not be a total write-off for the Young Lions.
