Groups of excited kids from Yuhua Albirex Football Academy and Albirex Singapore Soccer School got to meet their sporting heroes in the flesh before the training session, as their parents watched on from the stands.

Japan coach Javier Aguirre put his charges through a series of running and shooting drills, while those heavily involved in the previous match against Jamaica were at pitch side doing recovery work.

Goalkeepers Eiji Kawashima, Shusaku Nishikawa and Shuichi Gonda took turns in goal, while fan favourite Keisuke Honda delighted fans by taking time to acknowledge them with a wave.
