Safuwan agrees deal with Pahang FA

Singapore defender and PDRM skipper Safuwan Baharudin will play for Pahang FA in the 2018 Malaysia Super League season, a club official has told FourFourTwo.

"His versatility was something that we liked very much," said the official, who requested not to be named. "He can play in attack, defence and midfield. That will help us a lot during the coming season."

"He has also played in the MSL with PDRM and LionsXII...so he will be familar with things," added the official. 

Safuwan has played in a number of positions for Singapore, also featuring in midfield for PDRM.

The 26-year-old also hinted at his move on a post on Instagram on Saturday, captioned: "Thank God! Pahang 2018."

The 26-year-old also uploaded an Instagram post on Saturday with Malaysian striker Norshahrul Idlan Talaha, Pahang coach Dollah Salleh, Pahang president Tengku Abdul Rahman Ibni Sultan Ahmad Shah among others, captioned: "Thank God! Pahang 2018."

The signing of Felda United striker Norshahrul Idlan Talaha will also bolster the Elephants' attack. Pahang finished second in this season's MSL, nine points behind champions Johor Darul Ta'zim.
