Singapore 23-man squad profiles for the Suzuki Cup
International appearances: 61
Club: Army United
Hassan Sunny should go into the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup as Singapore's No.1 custodian and he will be expected to play an integral role in the team's fortunes.
The Lions will take on reigning champions Thailand, host nation Philippines and dark horses Indonesia in the 'Group of Death' that is Group A.
Hassan did not manage to keep a clean sheet at the 2014 edition but he put in plenty of saves to catch the eyes of Army United, making a move over to Thailand soon after the tournament ended.
Blessed with height and superb reflexes, Hassan can singlehandedly help Singapore earn points.
International Appearances: 41
Club: Tampines Rovers
After the high of holding Japan to a scoreless draw last year, Izwan’s form dipped in the S.League in 2016.
His most high profile blunder of the season came just before V.Sundramoorthy named his first Singapore squad. Then in the Singapore Cup final, he contrived to let a pass roll past him before Atsushi Kawata pounced to set Albirex Niigata (S) up for an unprecedented sweep of the trophies.
On his day though, Izwan is still pretty tough to beat and Singapore will be glad they have him as back-up to Hassan.

Club: Geylang International
Syazwan’s stock has risen sharply this year, after joining Geylang International.
Being exposed to more playing time has definitely improved his game, as he put in a remarkable display at the back to help the Eagles end the S.League season with the third-best defensive record.
Syazwan will most likely be Sundram’s 23rd option and be named for the reserved slot.
