Zharfan Rohaizad 7

It was a quiet and comfortable night for Zharfan. Apart from commanding his penalty area well when handling high balls, he was rarely tested by the Brunei attack .

Shahrin Saberin 6.5

Deployed as a right-back, Shahrin was solid in defence, intercepting and tackling well as the Brunei attack found it difficult to get past him.

Irfan Fandi 7

Irfan and his defensive partner Amirul have had a decent SEA Games campaign as a duo. Apart from the Myanmar game that did not reflect the 2-0 score-line well, both Irfan and Amirul showed that they are capable central defenders.

Amirul Adli 7

Calm and composed from Amirul. The Brunei attack might not have done much but Amirul was alert whenever called upon.

Syahrul Sazali 7

Showed great recovery pace and was determined to win back the ball on many occasions. He has blistering pace for sure, as he tracked back and made crucial tackles, to the frustration of the Brunei wingers.

Illyas Lee 7.5

Lee’s SEA Games campaign showed that he can be a matured central defensive midfielder and those attributes showed. He had the presence to break up Brunei’s attacking play and also showed he has an eye for a pass, feeding some through balls to the likes of Hanafi Akbar and Ikhsan Fandi.

Taufik Suparno 6

Not the best of nights for Taufik. Although there were glimpses of his pace, he found it difficult to get past defenders and his contribution in the final third was not the greatest. Taufik also missed a clear strike at goal right before the end of the game as he skied his effort from six yards out.

Adam Swandi 7

Adam showed some of his finest skills to get past the Brunei defence on a couple of occasions. Some of his passes were well executed but his attacking counterparts could not convert those chances.

Hami Syahin 6.5

As per usual, Hami was doing his best to link up play and make things happen. His efforts came to fruition when he played a ball through to Hanafi at the stroke of half-time. Unfortunately for Hami, the winger only managed to hit the side netting. He was then substituted off for Muhaimin.

Hanafi Akbar 6.5

Showed his pace and trickery to get past players with ease. Crossed in a peach of a delivery for Adam but the winger was wide of the mark. Hanafi then hit the crossbar a minute later after a pass from Ikhsan. He also had a clear cut chance right at the stroke of half-time but through on goal, the Balestier Khalsa winger only managed to find the side netting.

Ikhsan Fandi 6.5

It seemed like something was brewing between him and Hanafi as the pair could have had one or two goals between them but unfortunately for them, the Brunei keeper Ishyra Asmin was equal to their efforts. Ikhsan was once again denied by another goal-line clearance, this time by Martin Haddy minutes before the end of the game.
