Singaporeans Abroad: Safuwan, Shahril and Sunny searching for new clubs

With the season over and several clubs not achieving their desired targets, a few Lions' stars face the cut. FourFourTwo analyises what has been an uncertain October for them...

Baihakki Khaizan (JDT II)

Having lost out on the race to promotion, Baihakki had little to play for in Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) II's final match against DRB-Hicom, their only match in October.

The former LionsXII brickwall is also looking for a new club after JDT announced that his services were no longer required. Baihakki has been playing in Malaysia since LionsXII first participated in the Malaysia Super League in 2012.

Shahril Ishak (JDT II)

Once the darling of JDT owner Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, the Singapore skipper will also leave Johor. With age not on his side, a return to the S.League is on the cards.

Shahril struggled with injury in 2016 and his return to fitness did little to help him re-establish himself in the line-up.
