The new ruling mandates that DPMM can sign up to three foreign players, and the Wasps will also not be subject to the same age restrictions as the local S.League clubs.

Thus far, the Bruneian side have already announced one signing, Iranian forward Mojtaba Mostafa, with reports stating that 30-year-old Guatemala international Marco Pablo Pappa who has had stints in USA’s Major League Soccer (MLS) and the Dutch Eredivise has also joined.

There have also been reports of up to nine foreign players attending trials with the club in Bandar Seri Begawan, including former Geylang International and Albirex Niigata midfielder Tatsuro Inui, the S-League's Young Player of the Year in 2011.

The club have yet to release a list of retained personnel.
