Swiss Cottage Secondary School student Muhd Danial, 12, and Hong Kah Secondary School student Tan Yu Hen, 13, were selected from the Yuhua Albirex Football Academy (YAFA) training programme, after both displayed “outstanding commitment and potential”.

The duo will be in Japan from September 2-10 and will train at the Albirex Niigata Football School with Albirex's U12 and junior youth teams.

They will also get a chance to watch a J.League match between Albirex Niigata and Sanfrecce Hiroshima and experience some Japanese culture, attending a baseball match and a traditional summer festival.

YAFA was established in 2014 to provide football training for children aged 5 to 14 years old in the Yuhua Single Member Constituency, with the programme benefitting an estimated 600 boys and girls.
