S.League transfer round up: Tampines get busy

Still not much movement on the grounds but Singapore’s AFC Champions League representatives Tampines have gotten slightly busier…

The rebuilding process continues at Jurong East Stadium, as the club continues its search for potential young Japaneses to join them.

Midfielder Yuki Yamanouchi from J.League 3 side Oita Trinita is the latest to put pen to paper and he will be joined by Seiya Kato.

Meanwhile, midfielder Masaya Jitozono has confirmed his move over to Malaysia, where he will play in the Malaysia Premier League for Sabah.

Balestier Khalsa

After announcing several departures, Balestier have worked hard during the last week to retain several players.

Vice-captain Sheikh Abdul Hadi penned a one-year contract extension, as will veteran Shah Hirul and Hanafi Salleh.

The biggest coup of them all though, was retaining captain Zaiful Nizam’s services. The shot-stopper has been crucial to Balestier’s fortunes in recent years and is arguably their biggest star.

However, the Tigers will need to look into bringing some much-needed flair next as Jamil Ali and Fazli Ayob have reportedly left the club.

Brunei DPMM

Little news have trickled out from Brunei but there was one particular rumour that the Wasps are in for a big-name foreign signing.

Although it cannot be confirmed yet, it is believed former England and West Ham striker Charlton Cole’s services have been offered to the 2015 S.League champions.
