Southeast Asians Abroad: Yasir and Sahil open accounts in Malaysia
Yasir Hanafi (PDRM)
Like his compatriot, Yasir started all matches in July and got a goal to his name. His strike against Perlis, however, bore little significance as PDRM lost 3-1 to the relegation battlers.
Yasir has been turning out on the right flank for PDRM, being a thorn to defences. A move to the MSL appears unlikely, but Yasir could earn another season in the MPL.
Sahil Suhaimi (SARAWAK)
The 25-year-old forward has been getting a lot of action since his move to East Malaysia in June.
Expectation are high for Sahill to provide some spark up front but Sarawak have failed to turn their season around as they lost seven out of nine matches in all competitions in July.
Sahil managed to get on the score sheet against JDT at Larkin but the Southern Tigers won MSL tie 3-1.
Safuwan Baharudin (PDRM)
He also got on the scoresheet against ATM, scoring an equaliser to help PDRM obtain a 1-1 draw in the battle of the uniformed men.
PDRM are seventh in the table due to a better goal difference count with Sabah.
With only four matches remaining in the season, PDRM can only finish as high as fifth, making it a disappointing campaign after being relegated last year.
