Singapore: Hafiz Sujad (Tampines Rovers)

Based on current form, Tampines’ versatile man Hafiz should easily make Singapore’s AFF Suzuki Cup squad.

Despite starting out as a winger, Hafiz has proved to be as capable in defence, often providing width with his overlapping runs.

Even if played in an advanced role, Hafiz can be found tracking back in order to help his teammates.

Already in 19 games so far, Hafiz has tallied four goals and seven assists. Not a bad statistic by any reckoning.

Hafiz made his international debut for Singapore in 2012 but he was left out of the squad that secured the Suzuki Cup that year.

He did make the 2014 squad but Singapore disappointingly crashed out at the group stages, despite being hosts. This year, you can be sure Hafiz will be determined to do his upmost and help Singapore reclaim glory.
