An under-strength Tampines Rovers fell 3-1 to Bali United on Tuesday night but there were still some credible performances, with goalkeeper Syazwan Buhari proving the main shining light on his AFC debut…

Syazwan Buhari 8.5

Undoubtedly the man of the match for the Stags. The 25-year-old stood strong despite incessant pressure on his goal, pulling off a stunning save to deny a goal-bound Stefano Lilipaly volley in the first minute and made at least eight crucial stops to keep the hosts at bay.

Daniel Bennett 6

It was a worrying first half for the evergreen 40-year-old as he was caught out by a couple of long balls down his channel. However, the Singapore centre-back recovered his composure well and were much more alert in snuffing out the danger in the second 45 minutes. Was unlucky to see his well-struck volley denied by Bali goalkeeper Wawan Hendrawan on 70 minutes.

Mustafic Fahrudin 5.5

The Tampines captain tried to play his usual combative game, but was found lacking on certain occasions where he allowed the opposing attacker far too much space to get in the shot. Not of the best of nights for the 36-year-old…

Afiq Yunos 6

Managed to get in a couple of good blocks and clear an Illja Spasojevic shot off the line, but could have done better for Bali’s decisive second goal when Spasojevic managed to turn him and get the shot over Syazwan.
