Transfer Wrap: Chelsea to hijack Alisson move; Gunners offer Cech to Blues
Chelsea to hijack Alisson move
The Mirror reported that Liverpool are in talks with AS Roma over a £62-million deal for goalkeeper Alisson.
However, EPL rivals Chelsea are said to be looking to hijack a move for the Brazilian international with Thibaut Courtois expected to depart Stamford Bridge this summer.
The Blues are willing to fork out £70 million for 25-year-old Alisson, who was between the sticks for his country at the World Cup.
Gunners offer Cech to Blues
Arsenal’s Petr Cech could be in line for a summer move after it was revealed by the Daily Mail that Arsenal have offered the goalkeeper to Chelsea.
The sale of the Czech international, who spent 11 seasons at Stamford Bridge before moving to the Emirates, will provide additional funds for Gunners boss Unai Emery to further strengthen his squad.
Besides Cech, the Blues are also considering Leicester City’s Kasper Schmeichel and AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma as options.
Everton in advanced Malcom talks
According to Sky Sports, Bordeaux’s Malcom looks set to move to Goodison Park after it was reported that Everton are in advanced talk to land the winger.
The 21-year-old Brazilian, who will cost £30 million, was said to be favouring a move to the Serie A with Inter Milan.
Malcom, who started his career at Corinthians, found the back of the net 12 times last season.
Tottenham enquire about Pavard
Stuttgart’s Benjamin Pavard has been the subject of an enquiry from EPL side Tottenham Hotspur stated TEAMtalk.
The French international centre-back, who is also capable of playing as a right-back, turned in a number of impressive displays as France won the World Cup.
22-year-old Pavard, who is touted as defender Toby Alderweireld’s replacement, made 36 appearances for the Bundesliga club last season.
Cahill considering Blues exit
The Evening Standard wrote that Chelsea captain Gary Cahill is considering leaving the club.
The 32-year-old defender, who is set for talks with new boss Maurizio Sarri, fell out of favour last season and could see his playing time lessen with the impending arrival of Juventus’ Daniele Rugani.
The England international, who was playing for his country at the World Cup, is a two-time EPL title winner with the Blues.
