Transfer Wrap: Tuchel admits Rabiot uncertainty; Loftus-Cheek out to Schalke
Tuchel reveals Rabiot unlikely to stay at PSG
Thomas Tuchel admitted that he may have to let French midfielder Adrian Rabiot leave Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) even after a goalscoring performance in their Ligue 1 opener against Caen.
The 23-year-old scored in the game but has still not confirmed his long-term future at the club and Tuchel knows his star man may still leave for greener pastures, most notably Barcelona who are said to be interested.
“I’m not certain he will stay. I want him to stay but it’s up to him,” Tuchel told Canal Plus.
“He has great potential and can improve even further. He can become a top player but has to stay with us.”
Rabiot’s contract expires next summer and he has already rejected a new contract and that may force the club to sell their prized asset.
Bakayoko completes AC Milan medical
Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has completed his medical with Serie A giants AC Milan on the back of a season-long loan move.
The midfielder only joined Chelsea at the start of last season from Monaco but has been deemed surplus to requirements under new manager Maurizio Sarri.
Milan have the option to make it a permanent transfer at the end of the season with a price tag of £35.5m.
