United to battle for Mbappe

The Mirror wrote that Manchester United are ready to battle to sign Paris Saint Germain’s Kylian Mbappe this summer.

The 19-year-old forward, who will cost the Ligue 1 champions £166 million, is also a target for Manchester City and Real Madrid.

United are said to be willing to offer winger Anthony Martial and £86 million for the French international.

Liverpool lodge €180m Asensio bid

According to Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool have made a €180-million bid for Real Madrid attacking midfielder Marco Asensio.

The Spanish international, who has a €700-million release clause, is a firm favourite of new Real boss Julen Lopetegui.

However, after struggling for game time last season, the 22-year-old wants assurances about his role from Lopetegui before deciding on his future.

Kovacic to leave Real

Marca reported that Mateo Kovacic would be willing to leave the Bernabeu in order to gain more playing time.

The Croatian international, who is currently playing at the World Cup, was quoted as saying, “I understand the situation, but because of that I believe the best thing for me would be to go to another club where I’d have the opportunity to play regularly as a starter.”

The 24-year-old midfielder, who made 36 appearances last season, cost €29 million from Inter Milan in 2015.

Reds join Lozano race

Liverpool have entered the race to sign PSV Eindhoven winger Hirving Lozano according to the Daily Star.

The 22-year-old Mexican international, who has been in fine form at the World Cup, is also a target for Barcelona.

Lozano, who won the Eredivisie title last season, is contracted to the Dutch league champions till 2023.

Toffees looking to sign Loftus-Cheek and Wilshere

The Mirror said that Everton are looking to reinforce their midfield options by signing both Jack Wilshere and Ruben Loftus-Cheek this summer.

Wilshere, who is searching for regular football, has announced that he will be leaving Arsenal when his contract is up this summer.

While the Toffees will also try secure a loan with Chelsea for England international Loftus-Cheek after he impressed on loan at Crystal Palace last season.
