United chasing Hernandez

According to France Football, Manchester United have turned their attention to Atletico Madrid’s Lucas Hernandez after failing to sign a defender in the summer.

The French World Cup winner, who can play at left-back and centre-back, currently have a release clause of €80 million which could be raised to €140 million if the La Liga side offers the player an improved contract.

22-year-old Hernandez, who is a product of Atletico’s youth academy, is also attracting interest from Real Madrid.

Inter make Oblak a top target

Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak is the top goalkeeping target for Serie A giants Inter reports Tuttosport.

The Slovenian international has been touted as the long-term successor to current keeper Samir Handanovic – who turned 35 this year.

Besides 25-year-old Oblak, Inter are also looking at Fiorentina’s Alban Lafont as a backup option.

Milinkovic-Savic rejected huge summer offer

Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic turned down a €8-million-per-year contract in the summer states Le10 Sport.

The Serbian international’s agent Mateja Kezman claimed that the offer was from an unnamed French club who is strongly rumoured to be Paris Saint-Germain.

23-year-old Milinkovic-Savic, who chose to remain in Rome despite overwhelming interest, was linked with Real Madrid, Manchester United and PSG.

Juve & Inter tussle for Chiesa

According to Tuttosport, Juventus and Inter are locked in a battle for Fiorentina forward Federico Chiesa.

Regarded as one of the hottest Serie A prospects, the 20-year-old is already an established member of the Italian national side.

The Fiorentina academy star, who is the son of former Italian national Enrico Chiesa, has five caps under his belt.

Man City beat London clubs to Bazunu signing

The Telegraph writes that Manchester City have fend off competition from Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea to sign Shamrock Rovers’ Gavin Bazunu.

The Sky Blues forked out £420,000 for the Irish goalkeeper – which is a record for a non-professional player in Ireland.

Besides the two London clubs, 16-year-old Bazunu was also being tracked by Liverpool and Celtic.
