Syazwan Buhari was a dependable pair of hands between the posts as he saved Singapore Under-23s from further humiliation. Apart from the direct free-kick he let in against Myanmar, he could not be faulted for any of the other three goals the Young Lions conceded.

One of the most dependable performers in the team, the 22-year-old compensated for his lack of height with quick reflexes, good anticipation and an excellent command of his area. If he keeps working on his game, he could develop into a serious candidate for the national team’s goalkeeper position in the near future.
