Former Bundesliga player Ilso set for stint in Malaysia

Ken Ilso may have left the S.League but it seems he will not be going too far away after arriving in Malaysia recently.

The striker is reportedly joining Kedah FA, as the club is on the lookout for a new foreign striker after the departure of Shane Smeltz.

Ilso enjoyed two goal-laden years in the S.League with Home United previously, plundering in 46 goals in 54 appearances. He was shortlisted twice in a row for the S.League Player of the Year gong.

Ilso formerly played in Germany with Fortuna Düsseldorf and helped the club earn promotion to the top flight.

Should Ilso join Kedah as believed, he will follow the likes of Masaya Jitozono and Jonathan Behe in making the switch from the S.League to Malaysia in the 2017 season.
