Gary Robbat called up to Malaysia's preliminary SEA Games squad
The 22-year-old JDT midfielder, who recently returned to Malaysian football after serving a three-month suspension, is one of the 29 players being called up to the Malaysia national under-23 team in preparation for the upcoming tournament in Singapore in June 2015.
Besides him, JDT are represented by defenders Amer Saidin and Fandi Othman.
The Southern Tigers’ second team, JDT II, contribute two players, in which one of them is Akram Mahinan, who made his international debut for the Harimau Malaya in a recent 6-0 defeat to Oman.
Nine players from the Harimau Muda squad who played in the 2016 AFC U-23 Championship qualification were called up, including defender Nazirul Naim Che Hashim, goalkeeper Farhan Abu Bakar and forward Syahrul Azwari Ibrahim.
Farhan Roslan, who was in contention for a spot in the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup squad, was also named along with three of his team-mates from Kedah.
The final list of 20 players will be confirmed two days before the team's departure to Singapore.
