Geylang release Cubrilo, sign Azkal star Mark Hartmann
The forward is the first-ever Filipino to play in the S.League and he will move from Global FC.
Hartmann scored 44 times in 57 appearances for his previous club and also has seven goals in 18 appearances for Philippines.
In order to facilitate Hartmann’s arrival, Geylang had to release one of the three foreigners they had.
This was due to the S.League’s regulations of allowing only three imports to be registered as first teamers.
Unfortunately, striker Branko Cubrilo was axed after a dismal return of three goals from 10 games.
Geylang will return to league action on June 15, as they face Warriors FC.
