JDT insist Hariss will return to Spain
Hariss initially joined CE L’Hospital at the tail end of February, but his extremely brief stay collapsed after the club discovered it was unable to register him due to a previous taxation issue.
With JDT unable to accommodate Hariss after maximising their import quota, plus the transfer window in Malaysia being closed, the midfielder returned to Singapore to join S.League side Home United on loan.
However, JDT sports director Alistair Edwards insists the move is temporary and the Singapore vice-captain will re-join CE L’Hospitalet in June.
“Hariss Harun will be joining Home United Football Club on loan from JDT until the European transfer window opens in June,” he said in a media statement.
“Hariss has been in Spain the past month with CE L'Hospitalet, but during the registration process the Spanish club became aware that they weren't able to sign any further players until an existing tax liability is settled.
“This tax liability will be settled in time for Harris to officially rejoin CE L'Hospitalet at the commencement of pre-season training in June."
