Joel Chianese joins Sabah
The move was confirmed by Sabah’s CEO, Datuk Seri Panglima TC Goh, during a press conference at the Likas Stadium on Thursday.
The 25-year-old reportedly joined the Malaysian Premier League side from New Zealand's Auckland City after failing to register in time for the OFC Champions League group stages.
His previous clubs include A-League side Sydney FC and Bonnyrigg White Eagles, Brendan Gan's former club.
He took up the Asian slot in the Rhinos' foreign players quota, which was left vacant by Singapore international Fazrul Nawaz at the beginning of the season.
Chianese will wear the No. 6 jersey for Sabah.
