Shock as Hariss ends Spain stint to return to Singapore with Home United
The Singapore vice-captain had been loaned out to Spanish side CE L’Hospitalet, but he could not be registered by the club until an existing tax liability is settled.
“Home United Football Club is pleased to announce that it is in the process of finalising the signing of Singapore international player and vice-captain Hariss Harun on a loan deal from Johor Darul Ta'zim FC,” the club said in a Facebook statement.
“HUFC welcomes Hariss and would like to extend our appreciation to Johor Darul Ta’zim FC for their collaborative plan to ensure that Hariss Harun maintains his currency and standard of football.
“The club will ensure that the Singapore national team, Johor Darul Ta'zim FC and HUFC will benefit from Hariss’ professionalism and technical abilities. As a club, we welcome a player of such immense value."
The move would be a further boost to a Home United side that has made a strong start to 2017.
