Singapore international Hariss secures Spanish move

Singapore vice-captain Hariss Harun will finally make his move away from Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) after he secured a year-long move to Spanish outfit Ce L’Hospitalet.

Ce L’Hospitalet plays in the Segunda Division B, the third tier of professional football in Spain.

The Southern Tigers had stated their intention to loan Hariss out in December last year, with Argentinian-Iraqi Brian Ferreira recruited to replace him as their designated Asian import.

Hariss will be on a year-long loan to gain experience and improve the quality of his game

“Hariss will be on a year-long loan at Spanish second-division (sic) club Ce L'Hospitalet to gain experience and improve the quality of his game,” JDT announced on their Facebook page.

“Without a doubt this long-term plan will have a positive impact on the club in the future."

The move is unlikely to be made permanent, with JDT owner Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim stating that the midfielder has a future with the Southern Tigers and is slated for a 2018 return.

Hariss’ contract with JDT will expire at the end of the year though, with an option to extend his deal for two more years, according to media reports.
