Singapore No.1 Hassan Sunny decides to head Home

Home United have pulled off one of the biggest coups of the season after signing Singapore’s No.1 goalkeeper Hassan Sunny.

Hassan had been linked with the club for some weeks, but Home were locked in negotiations with the custodian until Friday.

For a club which had the joint-second worst defence in the league last year, Hassan’s signing is a massive boost to the Protectors.

This will be the third Singapore international signing in a week announced by Home, following the capture of Afiq Yunos and Izzdin Shafiq from Tampines Rovers to add steel to their defence and midfield respectively.

Home’s squad is shaping up nicely as the first leg of the AFC Cup qualifying match on January 30 against Phnom Penh Crown approaches.

The club has also added attacking talents Christopher Van Huizen and Stipe Plazibat to its ranks.

Hassan turned out for Army United over the past two seasons, becoming the first foreign goalkeeper to ever play in Thailand's top league.
