Zlatan to MLS? Kljestan recounts his mic-drop moment
If Zlatan Ibrahimovic eventually finds his way to Major League Soccer, we can't wait for that first time the LA Galaxy and the New York Red Bulls square off.
Ibrahimovic, whose overt self-infatuation stretches to the lengths of calling himself God, has reportedly been offered a contract by the LA Galaxy, according to Sports Illustrated.
The 35-year-old Ibrahimovic has been linked to MLS before, and this latest rumor has us brimming with anticipation of another iconic battle of wit with an angel of MLS assists, Red Bulls captain Sacha Kljestan.
Kljestan and Ibrahimovic faced off in the UEFA Champions League in 2013, and they had a brief and slightly hilarious exchange of insults that would make any schoolyard scrap proud. Ibrahimovic, then playing for PSG, was unhappy with then Anderlecht midfielder Kljestan's challenge. So Ibra insulted Kljestan's U.S. treasure of a mustache, and the gloves came off.
Well, not really. But Kljestan had the last laugh and dropped the mic, telling Zlatan to get out of here with that big nose of his. FFT recently caught up with Kljestan on all things soccer, and he was kind enough to recount that showdown in Paris.

Anderlecht claimed its only point of the group stage in a 1-1 draw that day, but little did each man know that the stage was set for a Battle in the Big Apple five years later.
The only meeting between the Red Bulls and Galaxy this year comes on May 14, before the summer transfer window. So if Ibra is headed to Hollywood (wait until he finds out it's Carson!), please, for the love of Ibra: Galaxy-Red Bulls in MLS Cup?
