Hungary Euro 2024 squad: Marco Rossi's full team
The Hungary Euro 2024 squad is now confirmed and looking forward to their third successive Euros
The Hungary Euro 2024 squad is packed full of talent ready to wreak havoc at the tournament in Germany this summer, with manager Marco Rossi confirming his full 26 on May 14.
In doing so, Hungary became the first team at Euro 2024 to announce their final squad - even before any other side had even confirmed a preliminary squad. Rossi has declared five replacement players on standby, however, in case any of his current selections get injured in between now and their opening game on June 15 against Switzerland.
With warm up matches against the Republic of Ireland and Israel scheduled in, there's certainly potential they'll need to call upon at least one of those waiting in the wings.
The main squad, however, is exciting. With Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai leading the team from midfield as captain, Hungary have one of the most-exciting players at Euro 2024 who isn't playing for one of the favourites. There's great experience in the rest of the Hungary Euro 2024 squad, too, with the likes of Peter Gulacsi in goal, Willi Orban in defence and Roland Sallai up front all strong options for a reliable side.
Plus, Hungary qualifying for the tournament looked relatively simple, as they topped their group to reach the European Championship for the third time running. Now ranked inside the world's top 30, Hungary could certainly be a team to keep an eye on.
As Euro 2024 groups go, though, it's not exactly straightforward, with Hungary set to play against Scotland and hosts Germany, as well as the aforementioned Switzerland.
Like with every Euro 2024 squad, FourFourTwo will be covering everything about Hungary as the tournament kicks off. From how to watch their games to each of their fixtures, and everything in between, we'll report on everything you need to know.

Hungary manager: Marco Rossi
Appointed in 2018 and tasked with turning the fortunes of a once-successful nation around, Marco Rossi has duly succeeded in his six years in charge, leading Hungary to Euro 2020 and Euro 2024 with relative ease. The Italian also earned the Magyars promotion to League A in the Nations League, where they managed to beat England twice and Germany once.
Indeed, in 62 games in charge of Hungary, Rossi has won 32 and drawn 14 - a remarkable achievement that has managed to bring positivity back to the national team. Keep that up, and they could herald in the days of Puskas and Co.
Hungary's star player
Dominik Szoboszlai
National team skipper and the golden boy of Hungarian football, Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai is one of only two players in the current set-up plying their trade in the Premier League (the other being Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez).
Utilised in a slightly more attacking No.10 role than what he's seen doing at Liverpool, Szoboszlai is given free reign to go wherever he wants on the pitch; often to devastating effect. Still only 23, he has won 40 caps for his nation already, scoring 12 goals in the process. He's a leader by example, and is Hungary's best bet on reaching the knockouts.
FAQs
How many players are Hungary allowed to take to Euro 2024?
After a couple of tournaments featuring 26-player teams, UEFA originally wanted to revert from the expanded squad. However, teams argued that club seasons would put players more at risk of injury, which UEFA eventually agreed to, meaning the Hungary Euro 2024 squad will now have 26 players.
