Liverpool skipper sells car on Auto Trader

Gerrard paid £61,000 for the motor in February last year, and has since spent £22,000 on modifcations, including a new bodykit costing more than £6,000, a set of 22-inch alloy wheels for £4,150, £700 on wool rugs, £705 for brake calipers, £1,880 on a DVD system and £2,900 on a bespoke hand-stitched leather interior.

While on each armrest is the number 8, Gerrard's shirt number.

“This is the dream car for any Liverpool fan, it’s a collector’s item. It’s a snip compared to what he paid. I can’t see it being on the market too long,” said a club source.

Gerrard has used Auto Trader before, with both his BMW X5 and convertible Mercedes CLK previously featuring on the website.
