The World Cup 2026 has been a brilliant watch - it's just a shame that there are only half a dozen games remaining. We're at that point of the tournament where heroes write their names in the history books and become the answers to quiz questions for evermore.

On that note, we've created a World Cup true or false quiz, featuring trivia that spans the competition's 96-year history. There are only 10 questions, but you have unlimited time - and if you don't know the answer, just guess. You have a 50/50 chance of getting it right!

Handpicked football quizzes we know you'll love

More players and teams will go down in World Cup folklore in the next week or so, but if this summer's tournament has piqued your interest in tournaments of years gone by, you've come to the right place. We have countless other great quizzes on international football and beyond, courtesy of Kwizly.

The last decade of (relative) England success began eight years ago in Russia, when Gareth Southgate's side reached the last four for the first time since 1990. It was one of the biggest games in Three Lions history, but can you name the starting line-up from England's World Cup semi-final against Croatia? We also have a quiz on another famous last-four clash, but you may not want to get involved if you're from a certain country in South America. Otherwise, we invite you to take a trip down memory lane and name the Germany XI that beat Brazil 7-1 in 2014.

When it comes to the business end of World Cups, no team has a better record in the past 30 years than France. Les Bleus have reached four of the past seven finals, lifting the trophy in 1998 and 2018, and we want you to name every Frenchman to have played in a World Cup final. If you're good at that quiz, you'll probably do well in our Big 1998 World Cup Quiz, which has 20 questions on the tournament that Les Bleus hosted and ultimately won.
