Quiz! Can you name Michael Owen's 50 most frequent England team-mates?

Shearer Owen Hoddle England

Oh, Mo. Where did it all go wrong?

Was it the moment he admitted to being “in Hell” while watching harmless ‘90s favourite Cool Runnings? Mocking a 13-year-old? Joining Real Madrid? Or doing that weird helicopter advert

Either way, serialisation of his new book Reboot: My Life, My Time has not gone down well on social media. Alan Shearer waded in on Twitter after Owen lamented his time on Tyneside, and the latest quotes have him criticising a “childish” David Beckham for the midfielder’s petulant France ‘98 red card against Argentina. (Frankly, they’re not particularly unreasonable either.)

RECOMMENDEDWhen David Beckham was the most hated man in England – and had the greatest season of his life

That tournament – or more specifically, that game – changed Owen’s life forever. But it was also a pinnacle he never came close to scaling again: he won 89 caps, scored 40 goals and played in another two quarter-finals for England without getting close to glory.

For today’s quiz, we’d like you to name Owen’s 50 most frequent team-mates for England from 1998-2008 – but you’re only getting eight minutes to do it. Tell us how you fare @FourFourTwo and we’ll retweet your answers so long as you don’t give away answers.
