Spain are set to face Austria as they look to take a step closer to winning what would be a second World Cup.

The 2010 champions are third favourites, behind only France and Argentina, and this represents a strong chance to progress.

However, Austria have already scored six goals in this tournament and could cause an upset.

Spain are the clear favourites for this match, as they look to forge a route to the World Cup final.

However, they haven't won a knockout match at a World Cup since they claimed the trophy back in 2010.

Austria showed some resilience in their final group stage match against Algeria, snatching an equaliser after conceding what looked to be a very late winner.

Whether or not they're capable of more heroics against a side of Spain's stature remains to be seen, but Spain's opening draw against Cape Verde suggests that there is at least a possibility.

Nevertheless, Spain have since gone on to comfortably beat Saudi Arabia and then claim another victory over Uruguay and they should have enough to progress from this fixture.
