There has been a considerable mood swing at the Amex Stadium over the past three months, with fears of a relegation battle replaced by dreams of Champions League football.
An eight-game run that yielded 19 points quashed any concerns over Brighton's Premier League status and even secured a new long-term contract for manager Fabian Hurzeler, although last Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Newcastle United was a frustrating setback.
The Seagulls are among a small group of clubs who still have faint hopes of playing in next season's Champions League, although that is likely to rest on Aston Villa both finishing fifth in the Premier League and winning the Europa League, which would see the team in sixth qualify for Europe's top club competition.

With that in mind, this home game against rock-bottom Wolves is a must-win.

The visitors' relegation was confirmed on April 20, but they have continued to fight since then, losing only to a late goal against Tottenham Hotspur and holding Sunderland to a 1-1 draw last weekend.
Despite a brief upturn in February and March, Wolves' players, staff and fans have known their fate deep down since before Christmas, and whether they can maintain their motivation over the final three games of the season remains to be seen.
