Canada are already eliminated after losing their first two games to Belgium and Croatia.

Morocco will advance to the knockout phase of the competition if they avoid defeat in this match.

A defeat would not be fatal as long as Belgium do not beat Croatia in the other Group F match.

Kick-off is at 3pm GMT. Make sure you know how to watch World Cup 2022 (opens in new tab) wherever you are.

Team news

The experience of a first World Cup in a generation will serve this Canada squad (opens in new tab) well. John Herdman gives game time to some of the fringe members of his group.

Yassine Bounou, one of three goalkeepers in the Morocco squad (opens in new tab), returns after he withdrew from the starting XI minutes before kick-off against Belgium.

Achraf Hakimi has been struggling with a hamstring issue but is fit enough to start.

Canada (3-4-3)

Borjan; Johnston, Vitoria, Miller; Adekugbe, Osorio, Kaye, Davies; Buchanan, Larin, Hoilett

Morocco (4-3-3)

Bono; Hakimi, Saiss, Aguerd, Mazraoui; Ounahi, Amrabat, Sabiri; Ziyech, En-Nesyri, Boufal

Canada were hugely unfortunate to lose 1-0 to Belgium in their first game, before a 4-1 defeat by Croatia on matchday two.

Morocco drew 0-0 with Croatia in their initial encounter in Qatar, then stunned Belgium in a 2-0 win.

Players to watch / key battles

Canada like to play at a high tempo and they will look to create overloads down the flanks, with Alphonso Davies set to be key.

Morocco will be content to sit deep and work the ball to Hakim Ziyech and Sofiane Boufal between the lines.

VPN guide

Use a VPN to watch World Cup 2022 football from outside your country

If you’re out of the country for the World Cup 2022, then you won't be able to watch on your domestic streaming service as usual. The broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!) and blocks you from watching it. You can use a VPN to get around that, though, without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.

A Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs, creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and will let you watch. And all the info going between is entirely encrypted, anonymous and safe – and that's a result.

There are plenty of good-value options out there. For the World Cup 2022, FourFourTwo currently recommends:

ExpressVPN (opens in new tab)

ExpressVPN including a 30-day, money-back guarantee (opens in new tab)
FourFourTwo’s brainy office mates TechRadar love its super speedy connections, trustworthy security and the fact it works with Android, Apple, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, PS5 and loads more. You also get a money-back guarantee, 24/7 support and it's currently available for a knockdown price. Go get it!
