Selling Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan was immediately excellent news for 17-year-old academy graduate Mason Greenwood, who is so far taking his chances under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
On Wednesday night he broke the deadlock against Rochdale at Old Trafford, before an even younger player (!!!) – the visitors’ 16-year-old student Luke Matheson – equalised and took the game to penalties. Greenwood netted the winner in a drab Europa League opener against Astana last week.
