Germany v Hungary live stream, BBC2, Wednesday 23 June, 8pm BST

Germany take on Hungary in Munich on Wednesday night for their final Group F match, with both teams still in contention for qualifying for the knockout rounds.

A win for Germany could see them top the group, and crucially miss England in the round of 16, though this depends on the result between France and Portugal in the other match. Only a win will do for Hungary meanwhile, who still hold ambitions of qualifying for the knockout stages from the 'Group of Death'.

Germany followed up a narrow 1-0 defeat against World champions France to beat Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal in a thrilling 4-2 win on Saturday. Playing a 3-4-3, Germany seem to have found a balance many seem unconvinced by at the beginning of the tournament, in which it'll be manager's Jogi Low's last.

They enter the game against Hungary full of confidence and fully expectant of this being a routine win. However, Hungary have acquitted themselves superbly in Group F with three European heavyweights, and a win will move them to four points, above Germany in the group on head-to-head.

Hungary, the team who many expected to be the group's whipping boys, lost 3-0 to Portugal in their opening game, before drawing to World Cup holders France 1-1. The score line against Portugal also doesn't fully reflect the match either, with Hungary frustrating the European Championship holders for 85 minutes, before Raphael Guerreiro scored a deflected goal. Ronaldo also added another two in quick succession, just for good measure.

The game is also being played at Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena in Germany, meaning Hungary move away from the Ferenc Puskas Stadium in Budapest for the first time this tournament. Without 60,000 fans cheering them on, their result against Germany could be negatively impacted.

Expect Germany to attack all game, aiming to capitalise on any slip up France might suffer against Portugal. Hungary will promise a tough test, which both France and Portugal can testify to from their group games. The eastern Europeans will sit back, welcome pressure, and hope to benefit from a counter attack that could send them into the knockout rounds.

Kick-off is at 8pm BST and the game is being shown on BBC2/BBC iPlayer. See below for watching details where you are.

Use a VPN to watch a Germany v Hungary live stream from outside your country

If you’re out of the country for any Euro 2020 fixtures, then annoyingly your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!). You'll be blocked from watching it, which is not ideal if you still want to catch Harry Kane's in-swinging corners without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.

But assistance is on hand. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. All the info going between is entirely encrypted – and that's a result.
