Chelsea have gotten quite good at flogging football players, you might have noticed.

The Blues attract disparaging chuckles every time they farm another youngster out on loan, but there’s no doubting the financial success of such a strategy – players like Christian Atsu (£6.2m), Patrick Bamford (£5.5m) and Thorgan Hazard (£6m), for example, were all sold off handsomely without ever kicking a ball for Chelsea.

Naturally, there have been some impatient mistakes too – some of which feature below – but otherwise, the west Londoners have become arguably the best selling club in the country.

For today’s quiz, then, we’re after the players Chelsea have sold since 2008/09 (i.e. the last 10 years) – that is, those with a first-team appearance to their name, and were passed on for a transfer fee rather than simply released. Got it? Excellent.
