Northern Ireland vs Slovakia live stream: how to watch the Euro 2020 play-offs wherever you are in the world
How to watch a Northern Ireland vs Slovakia live stream, as both teams look to book a place at the European Championship
Northern Ireland vs Slovakia live stream, Sky Sports Premier League, Thursday 12 November, 19.45pm BST
Northern Ireland will qualify for Euro 2020 (scheduled for next summer) with victory over Slovakia on Thursday.
After making it all the way through to the last 16 of the most recent European Championship, Northern Ireland are looking to qualify for the second edition on the bounce. That would be a fine achievement despite the expansion of the tournament to 24 teams last time out, and participation next year would be only the second time Northern Ireland have qualified for a major tournament since 1986.
Michael O'Neill's side made a respectable fist of their Euro 2020 qualifying group, finishing third behind Germany and the Netherlands. It was always going to be tough for Northern Ireland to squeeze into the top two, but they will have been delighted by the ease with which they finished above Belarus and Estonia in the final standings.
Northern Ireland, who are now managed by Ian Baraclough, earned a second shot at qualification despite finishing bottom of their Nations League group in 2018/19. The fact they were in League B worked in their favour, allowing Northern Ireland to reach the play-offs as one of the few sides in their league who failed to qualify via the conventional route. Last month's nail-biting penalty shoot-out triumph over Bosnia-Herzegovina booked Northern Ireland's spot in this winner-takes-all encounter.
Slovakia also finished third in their Euro 2020 qualifying group and bottom of their group in the 2018/19 Nations League. They got the better of the Republic of Ireland on penalties last month are now one game away from reaching next summer's competition.
Marek Hamsik is the biggest name in their squad, with the former Napoli man closing in on 125 caps for his country. Baraclough will hope the experience of Jonny Evans, Steven Davis and Kyle Lafferty help his team to victory on Thursday.
Kick-off is at 7.45pm GMT and the game is being shown on Sky Sports Premier League in the UK. See below for watching details where you are.

Use a VPN to watch a Northern Ireland vs Slovakia live stream from outside your country
If you’re on holiday or just simply out of the country, your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows exactly where you are from your IP address. Your access to the game will be automatically blocked, which is annoying if you’ve paid a subscription fee and don't want to use an illegal, buffering stream that makes you miss another Jamie Vardy goal. And that's where we recommend ExpressVPN (more on which below).
All you need to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to get beyond such aggravations (assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs). A VPN creates a private connection between your device and the internet, meaning suppliers can’t work out where you are and what you’re doing. The info going to and from is entirely encrypted.
