England v Scotland live stream, ITV, Friday 18 June, 8pm BST

England and Scotland will renew hostilities at Wembley on Friday for the first tournament game between the old rivals since 1996.

Goals from Alan Shearer and Paul Gascoigne gave England the victory when these two nations met at Euro 96, although Scotland had the better of the first half and could have levelled the scores after the break from the penalty spot.

Gary McAllister failed to convert from 12 yard after the ball wobbled on the spot, and England soon doubled their lead thanks to Gascoigne’s individual brilliance. Gareth Southgate, who started for Terry Venables’ team that day, would no doubt settle for a similar outcome on Friday night.

England have three points in the bag already, and another three collected here would book their spot in the last 16 with a game to spare.

The Three Lions produced an excellent display to see off Croatia 1-0 last weekend, with Raheem Sterling’s goal bringing England victory in their maiden European Championship game for the first time ever. Southgate’s side looked solid at the back and controlled the match with and without the ball, and they will expect to get the better of Scotland here.

That is not to say Steve Clarke’s side should be written off, of course. Scotland may have lost 2-0 to the Czech Republic in their first outing, but better finishing from the de facto home team would have made a big difference. Scotland did create chances against the Czechs, and they may relish the sense of being underdogs at Wembley.

Even so, Scotland will be up against it to contain a star-studded England attack. Southgate might be tempted to introduce a lock-picking schemer like Jack Grealish for a game like this, in which Scotland will sit deep and pack men behind the ball. Luke Shaw or Ben Chilwell could also come in for Kieran Trippier at left-back.

Kick-off is at 8pm BST and game is being shown on ITV/ITV Hub. See below for watching details where you are.

Use a VPN to watch an England v Scotland live stream from outside your country

If you’re out of the country for any Euro 2020 fixtures, then annoyingly your domestic on-demand services won’t work – the broadcaster knows where you are because of your IP address (boo!). You'll be blocked from watching it, which is not ideal if you still want to catch Harry Kane's in-swinging corners without resorting to illegal feeds you’ve found on Reddit.

But assistance is on hand. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. All the info going between is entirely encrypted – and that's a result.

There are plenty of good-value options out there, including:
