Coutinho eager to live up to expectations after completing move to Bayern

Philippe Coutinho has spoken of his desire to live up to expectations after moving from Barcelona to Bayern Munich on loan for the 2019-20 season in a deal that includes an option to buy.

Barca say Bayern will pay 8.5 million euros (£7.8m) and Coutinho’s wages, and that the option for the Bundesliga champions to then buy is fixed at 120m euros (£109.8m).

FourFourTwo Staff

FourFourTwo was launched in 1994 on the back of a World Cup that England hadn’t even qualified for. It was an act of madness… but it somehow worked out. Our mission is to offer our intelligent, international audience access to the game’s biggest names, insightful analysis... and a bit of a giggle. We unashamedly love this game and we hope that our coverage reflects that.
