Malaga target 30 million capital hike

MADRID - Malaga are planning a capital increase in April that aims to raise around 30 million euros to strengthen the La Liga club's finances and fund a new training facility.

Almost 600,000 new shares will be issued worth 50 euros each and the club wants to encourage individual fans as well as institutional investors to take part, officials said on the club's website.

"We are hoping to oversee a more ambitious project, so that we can have better players and a better squad," president Fernando Sanz said.

"It's not an SOS, it's the exact opposite, a step forward so we can be better and so that Malaga can belong to the fans."
