SFA apologises after learning assistant referee should have been isolating

The Scottish Football Association has apologised for a “breakdown in internal process” that led to an assistant referee officiating in Saturday’s Premiership match between Hibernian and Hamilton when he should have been self-isolating.

Graeme Stewart was a close contact of fellow assistant referee David Roome, who returned a positive test on Wednesday, having returned from officiating in the match between Panathinaikos and Olympiacos in Athens last Sunday.
