BATE seal fourth straight Belarus title

MINSK - BATE Borisov crushed Naftan Novopolotsk 4-0 on Monday to clinch their fourth consecutive Belarus league title with five matches to spare.

Belarus international striker Vitaly Rodionov led with a double as BATE exploded for four goals during a 10-minute period late in the first half.

The win gave BATE an insurmountable 13-point cushion over second-placed Dynamo Minsk, who have only four games remaining after a 1-0 home defeat by Shakhtyor Soligorsk on Sunday.
