AC Milan will ditch newly-signed Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar in the January transfer window, according to reports in Italy.
The 26-year-old netted 76 league goals in just 92 games for Ajax after arriving in 2005.
But he has struggled to settle since leaving Holland for Real Madrid last January, making only 20 la Liga appearances for the Madridistas in the second half of last season.
And having joined the Rossoneri in the wake of Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema's arrivals at the Bernabeu, Huntelaar has again laboured, failing to net in his opening seven Serie A games with Leonardo's charges languishing in 12th place.
Reports in Italy have already begun listing potential new January arrivals to help re-ignite Milan's fortunes.
And, according to Il Corriere Dello Sport, Huntelaar will be shown the exit door after only six months - for the second time in a year.
The report suggests that out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko is high on the club's Christmas wish-list, with Huntelaar - who was also linked with moves to Stuttgart, Arsenal and Manchester United during the close-season - possibly heading in the opposite direction as part of the deal.comments
