WASHINGTON - The United States will play fellow World Cup finalists Honduras on January 23 in Carson, California as part of their build-up to next year's tournament.
"Obviously we know the quality of the Honduran team very well and we think the match is a great way to start the year as we commence preparations for the World Cup," head coach Bob Bradley said Tuesday in a statement.
"With both teams working toward finalizing their rosters for South Africa, we expect it will be a very competitive game."
The Americans were unbeaten in four matches against Honduras in 2009.
USA will face England in their first World Cup match on June 12 in Rustenburg, South Africa. Algeria and Slovenia are also in Group C.
